Job summary

The Cihakova Lab at Johns Hopkins University is seeking motivated Masters and PhD students to join funded projects in cardiac immunology and autoimmunity. Ideal candidates have a strong background in immunology and experience with flow cytometry, cell isolation and culture, ELISA, qPCR, and immunostaining.

We value publications, analytical writing, independence and collaboration. In vivo and in vitro work is conducted, and postdoctoral opportunities are available as well.

Qualifications

Looking for Masters/PhD Student for Johns Hopkins Lab

Seeking Graduate Students for Lab of Dr. Daniela Cihakova

The Cihakova Lab is currently seeking a highly motivated Master and PhD students to join our newly funded research projects in cardiac immunology and autoimmunity. We are looking for an independent, driven, and collaborative scientist with a PhD in immunology and experience in basic immunological methods, including flow cytometry, cell isolation and culture, ELISA, qPCR, immunostaining, cytokine analysis, and in vivo and in vitro experimental work. Experience in omics techniques and computer science is considered a strong advantage. The ideal candidate will have a strong publication record, excellent analytical and scientific writing skills, and a strong interest in contributing to high-impact discoveries in a dynamic and supportive research environment. The Cihakova Lab is also interested in Postdoctoral fellows. Current projects include CAR T cell therapy for myocarditis, CODA 3D reconstruction of salivary glands in Sjögren’s syndrome, and understanding the pathogenesis of tissue-resident T cells in cardiac transplant rejection.
