Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA is seeking an Express Lube Technician to perform quick oil changes, inspections and minor repairs in a high-volume service lane.

The role requires automotive repair knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work on site with a dedicated team. Weekly pay and a benefits package including 401(k), medical, dental, and tuition reimbursement are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year automotive repair experience or equivalent education.
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance and ability to read instructions in English.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs oil changes on guest vehicles.
• Inspects oil, filters, fluids and replaces as needed.
• Checks tire pressures and adds air as needed.
• Rotates tires and inspects brakes.
• Documents all work performed on repair orders and inspection sheets.
• Operates lubrication equipment and keeps workspace clean and safe.
• Assists service department and meets production objectives.
• Maintains grooming, hygiene and uniform appearance.

We are looking for an Express Lube Technician that can thrive in a demanding and fast-paced environment.

The Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing minor repairs and inspections on vehicles in a quick thorough manner as assigned and in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards. Our Express Lube Technicians get to work with an amazing team and by working for Longo Toyota; they are surrounded by only the best.

The Express Lube Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Rate of $19.00. The position may also pay a production bonus based on individual or team performance that may range from $0.00 (if baseline benchmarks are not met) without any fixed upper limit.

*This position is 100% on site at Longo Toyota in El Monte, CA.

Responsibilities

• Performs oil changes on guest vehicles
• Inspects oil, cabin, air filters and vehicle fluid level and replaces or replenishes as necessary
• Check’s tire pressures and adds air, as needed
• Rotates tires and inspects brake linings/drums and brake pads/discs
• Performs a thorough check of guest’s vehicles, refers needed repairs and preventive maintenance to ASM
• Documents all work performed on repair order and inspection sheet
• Operates and maintains in good condition all lubrication equipment
• Assists the service department, as needed
• Operated all tools and equipment in a safe manner
• Achieves the production objectives set by management
• Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner
• Maintains high ethical standards in all actions
• Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent: some college or vocational school preferred.
• A minimum of one (1) year automotive repair experience, desired; or a combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance required; and mathematical principles (adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying, and percentages) and application.
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles; determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it; pay attention to detail; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

• Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with their body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
