Longo Lexus in El Monte, CA is hiring a Car Wash Valet for a full-time entry-level role. You will help guests by moving vehicles, preparing cars for service, and ensuring a clean, orderly service lot. Training is provided, with opportunities to advance into service or sales roles within Penske Motor Group.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of customer service experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend English.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and ID tags in customer vehicles.
• Move vehicles from service lane to designated spots in the service parking lot.
• Ensure vehicles in the lot are secure and organized.
• Assist in moving disabled vehicles around the service department.
• Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking area.
• Maintain a professional appearance of the service department.
• Inspect vehicles for lot damage during their stay.
• Follow all company safety policies and practices.
• Support other service department areas as needed.
• Maintain high ethical standards and professional appearance at all times.

Our Car Wash / Valets create the first and last impression for our guests. From moving vehicles smoothly, safely, and efficiently, Valets represent the dealership in a professional and friendly manner. A large part of your role will be to enhance the Longo guest experience. Our ideal candidate is energetic, self-motivated, a team player, has excellent communication skills, and approaches every task with a positive attitude.

The Car Wash Valet has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Rate of $18.00.

*This position is 100% on site at Longo Lexus in El Monte, CA.

Responsibilities

• Install and removes disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and ID tags in all the vehicles brought in for service.
• Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot in a neat and organized manner
• Ensure all vehicles in the service parking lot are secured.
• Assist in moving disabled vehicles in or around the service department.
• Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot.
• Help maintain a professional appearance of the service department.
• Inspect each vehicle for lot damage that may have been occurred during the vehicle’s stay in the service department.
• Must follow all company safety policies and practices.
• Assists in all other areas of the service department, as needed.
• Maintain high ethical standards and aprofessional appearance at all times.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual should possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of six (6) months customer service experience, desired
• Ability to coordinate activities with other employees; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

• Operating motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
• Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
