Salary Range: $23.50 - $26.00 Hourly

Hours: Up to 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Dates: August 3, 2026 – June 2, 2027

Location: Longfellow Elementary

Position Description

The Girls Got Goals coach will lead and coordinate the 3rd‑5th‑grade girls’ soccer team in our After‑School program.

The role includes weekly practices, games, and participation in the Girls Got Goals League with local elementary schools.

Responsibilities

• Teach basic soccer fundamentals to girls ages 7‑10.
• Supervise youth during practices, games, and homework lab.
• Provide support to a youth worker (YAPster).
• Assist with transportation to games and workshops for the Girls Got Goals League.
• Coach games and supervise players in the league.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding game schedules, behaviors, and attendance issues.
• Assist the GGG League Coordinator in creating workshops that address team‑building, identity formation, and age‑appropriate issues for middle school girls.
• Attend supervision meetings with the GGG League Coordinator.
• Provide support with required paperwork, such as collecting attendance and creating flyers.
• Communicate with parents and youth about the program.
• Meet regularly with the GGG League Coordinator.
• Actively participate in supervision meetings, staff meetings, training, and After‑School meetings.

Qualifications

• Passion for Jamestown’s mission and commitment to high‑quality youth development.
• Available between 2:30pm and 6:45pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Salesforce.
• Preferred experience coaching soccer with 7‑10‑year‑old girls.
• Experience in girls’ sports programming.
• Experience working with multi‑ethnic, multicultural youth.
• Experience developing team‑building exercises and gender‑specific workshops.
• Spanish speaking skills strongly preferred (not required).
• Documentation that meets SFUSD Instructional Aide requirements or passing an equivalency exam.
• Open to obtaining a US Soccer coaching license or provide documentation if currently held.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
• Standard office and school settings, with occasional travel within the Bay Area.
• Use of computer, phone, copier, and office equipment.
• Fingerprint and TB clearance required.
