Job summary

Renaissance Secondary Charter School is seeking a Long-term Substitute Teacher of Art for middle and high school. The instructor will deliver Visual Arts instruction, collaborating with colleagues to integrate arts into the core curriculum.

Responsibilities include planning engaging activities, maintaining progress records, managing behavior, and supporting student welfare and extracurriculars. A Colorado teaching license is required; 40-hour weeks over a 185-day schedule; USD $190/day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Teaching license issued by Colorado Department of Education.
• Experience with expeditionary learning or project-based learning preferred.
• Experience teaching art in a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement an instructional program in a learning environment.
• Deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning and clear objectives.
• Maintain records of students’ progress and prepare required reports.
• Manage classroom behavior and apply disciplinary measures when necessary.
• Support student counseling and extracurricular activities and participate in meetings.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Uphold the school mission and take on additional roles to support success.
