The Friends’ Central Upper School (grades 9-12) seeks a dedicated, enthusiastic teacher of Spanish & French for a long term substitute position beginning November 11, 2026 through January 6, 2027. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in a related field, and interest in working with Upper School students.
In addition to having an educational background in teaching languages, we seek someone who will:
Upper School faculty are also expected to perform supervisory duties (study hall, lunch, etc.) and assist with other programmatic activities that are part of the school day.
Physical demands include dexterity for office machines and supply operation including but not limited to writing, using electronic devices, computer, phone, calculator, copy machine, fax machine, and printers. Stooping, bending, reaching and sitting or standing for extended periods of time are common.
