Long-Term Substitute Teacher opportunity is available from 9/19/2024 - 12/20/2024.

JOB GOAL: To enable each student to pursue their education by providing instruction and appropriately managing the classroom environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a positive learning environment while delivering instruction and implementing lesson plans in line with District’s goals, policies and procedures for student achievement.
- Maintain the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned.
- Follow and support all District and school policies, rules, and procedures.
- Report to the main office upon arrival at the school building to determine the assignment of the day.
- Supervise students to ensure their safety and welfare.
- Report any student-related injury, accident, illness, or discipline problem to Administration immediately or as soon as is reasonably possible.
- Report in writing on the day's activities at the conclusion of each teaching day.
- Maintain the confidentiality of the position including all student and school personnel information.
- Other related duties as assigned by the building administrator.

Job Requirements
- A minimum of 60 college credits is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with children.
- Massachusetts Teaching Certificate preferred.
- Those pursuing a career in education preferred.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills.
- Maintain appropriate dress and a professional appearance.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
