Job summary

New Story Schools is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher to support students ages 5–21 with autism and related needs, delivering instruction aligned with IEP goals in a structured, student-centered setting.

You’ll document progress, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families, maintain classroom structure, and contribute to plan updates and evaluations to promote growth in academic and social skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in special education, education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid Pennsylvania Private Academic teaching certification in Special Education or Instructional I/II certification in Special Education.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to inclusive practices and individualized student support.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.

As a Long-Term Substitute Teacher at New Story Schools, you will support students with social, emotional, behavioral, and learning needs by maintaining instructional continuity and promoting growth in academic, behavioral, and social skills. You’ll work collaboratively with staff and families to provide consistent, individualized support in a structured, student-centered learning environment.

What You’ll Need
