Job summary

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit in Norristown, PA is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Speech-Language Pathologist to support Early Intervention preschool services for children ages 3-5. You will assess and provide direct services in classrooms and homes, write IEPs and reevaluation reports, and participate in IEP meetings while collaborating with parents and professionals.

Applicants must hold PA certification as an SLP and PA licensure or be eligible; clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
• Valid PA certification as a School Speech-Language Pathologist required.
• Valid PA licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist or eligible for licensure.
• Experience with delivering speech services to children is preferred.
• Current Police, Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.

A vacancy exists for a Long-Term Substitute Speech & Language Pathologist to work for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit in the Office of Early Childhood Services. These positions provide Early Intervention preschool education services to children ages 3-5 years old.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech & Language Pathology required

• Valid PA licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist or eligible for licensure

Location

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and services children throughout Montgomery County, PA. Our Early Intervention Program is split along school district lines into four (4) regions within Montgomery County. Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 12-months (194 days/year).

2026-2027 Salary

Master's, Step 1: $66,508/year

• Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master's Degree.
