The Role: Meadow Brook School seeks a qualified candidate for a Long-Term Substitute Special Education Social Skills Teacher position. The teacher will provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities that impact social skills development, communication, behavior, and access to the general education curriculum. Services will be provided through individual, small-group, and inclusion settings.
The successful candidate will collaborate with classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families to implement students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), provide appropriate accommodations and modifications, monitor student progress, and support the development of positive social, behavioral, and academic skills.
Compensation: $130 per day for a licensed teacher. After 30 consecutive days, compensation increases to Bachelor’s Step 1 on the teacher salary scale ($54,500).

Meadow Brook School serves East Longmeadow students in preschool through second grade in a nurturing child centered environment. At Meadow Brook, we feel that reaching children where they are functioning-academically, socially, emotionally, and physically-is critical to their development. We offer a challenging curriculum that is aligned with the Massachusetts State Frameworks as well special subjects such as Physical Education, Art, Music, Computer Lab, and Library. We also have a comprehensive special education program as well as gifted and talented education.
