Job summary

Turkey Hill School is seeking an enthusiastic long‑term substitute Art Teacher beginning October 21, 2026 and ending on or about December 4, 2026. The candidate should have strong classroom management for grades 1–6 and a collaborative spirit with a passion for engaging students in art.

The teacher will instruct in a variety of media, model artistic styles, and communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents. The role includes traveling one morning per week to Mary L.

Job Posting: Art Teacher - Long Term Substitute

Turkey Hill School is seeking an enthusiastic candidate for a long term substitute Art Teacher beginning on October 21, 2026 and ending on or about December 4, 2026. The successful candidate should possess:

• strong classroom management skills for working with students in grades one through six
• a collaborative nature, and a passion for engaging students in art
• ability to instruct and model artistic styles in a variety of media
• effective communication skills and the ability to successfully collaborate with staff, students, and parents

CT Certification 042, is preferred. This position will also require the teacher to travel to neighboring Mary L. Tracy School one morning per week to teach kindergarten students.

Term: To begin October 21, 2026.

Salary: The 2026-27starting rate is $134per school day.
