Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for 2nd grade to maintain continuity in the classroom during the absence. You will deliver instruction, supervise students, and enforce effective classroom management as a positive role model.

Responsibilities include implementing formative assessments, tracking student progress, and collaborating with staff. The ideal candidate holds Michigan Certification and meets NCLB requirements and is committed to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must hold Michigan Certification and Endorsements for the appropriate grade level.
• Must meet all of the NCLB qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Commit to a long-term sub position
• Instruction and supervision of students
• Knowledgeable in classroom management
• Be a role model for students

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep accurate classroom records
• Attend conferences and workshops to keep current

• Attendance required at Fall Parent/Teacher conferences
