• Engage students in whole group instruction, small group instruction, and individual instruction.
• Establish/maintain standards of student conduct and control required to achieve full participation in all activities.
• Create/maintain an organized, uncluttered workspace with display emphasis on function and content.
• Engage supervisor cooperatively.
• Engage/interacts with colleagues respectfully.
• Maintain/provide records including, but not limited to the evaluation of student performance, with accuracy and according the timeline requested.
• Engage in professional development.
• Participate in school-wide supervision of students during out of classroom activity.
• Participate in staff meetings, district/school committees.
• Participate in student activities by attending, volunteering, sponsoring, or coaching.
• Other duties as assigned

Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 8 Job Description:

Definition:Under administrative supervision, the classroom teacher for Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8, or a combination thereof, establishes and maintains a program and environment favorable to learning and personal growth in accordance with each student’s individual need and ability while instructing and engaging all students in learning activities designed to promote social, emotional, and intellectual growth.

To perform the job of elementary teacher, an individual must meet the qualifications of knowledge, ability, and skill as prescribed and perform each duty and responsibility of the position with proficiency.
