Job summary

The Archdiocese of Chicago is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for Reading Grades 6-8 for the 2026-2027 school year. This role offers the unique opportunity to impact students while teaching both middle school and possibly transitioning to a 4th-grade classroom by January 2027.

Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, maintaining a supportive classroom environment, and assessing student progress. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree, a valid teaching license, and has 1 to 3 years of teaching experience.

The compensation for this position is $165.00 per day, increasing with additional credentials.

Qualifications

• Valid teaching license or substitute teaching credentials as required by state regulations.

• Experience teaching through remote learning platforms.
