Westfield Public Schools is seeking a Long Term Preschool Substitute Teacher to cover a leave at Highland Elementary School in Westfield, MA. The position runs from November through February with a daily rate between $173 and $263.

The teacher will deliver instruction in an integrated setting, develop appropriate lesson plans, and maintain records while collaborating with staff and communicating with families. This temporary, non-benefit role reports to the Building Principal.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts DESE certification encouraged.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Citizenship or work authorization required for employment in the U.S.

Responsabilités

• Teach pupils in an integrated setting using the district curriculum and approved publications.
• Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and policy.
• Collaborate with colleagues, students and parents as a liaison between home and school.
• Develop lesson plans and provide individualized and small-group instruction.
• Identify pupil needs and assist in assessing and addressing health, attitude, and learning problems.
• Supervise pupils during the school day and communicate progress to parents.
