Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Long-term Substitute Early Intervention Itinerant Teacher for the Office of Early Childhood Services to serve children aged 3-5. The role requires PA Special Education certifications, classroom experience, and collaboration with related service providers.

Qualifications

• PA certification in Special Education PK-12 or PK-8 required
• Early Childhood PK-4 (N-3) certification preferred
• Experience as a classroom teacher required
• Experience working as part of an educational team
• Experience with 3-5 year olds preferred
• PA police, child abuse and FBI fingerprint clearances required
• MA provider clearance by Commonwealth of PA and federal government required

Responsibilities

• Plan, instruct and manage the classroom effectively
• Maintain IEPs and ensure progress
• Align instruction with PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood Education
• Collaborate with physical, occupational and speech therapists to support development
• Maintain ongoing communication with families about learning and progress
• Oversee and compile data for IEPs and evaluations
• Gather evidence on student progress toward learning outcomes
