Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned.
• Demonstrated competency in the subject area assigned.
• Knowledge of CTE content area and preferred industry experience.
• Awareness of Programs of Study and Industry Based Certifications.
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• At least one year of student teaching or internship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements.
• Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for different learning styles.
• Present subject matter per TEA guidelines and policies.
• Plan using diverse instructional strategies and materials.
• Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula for IEPs.
• Work with staff to set goals and methods per district requirements.
• Use technology to enhance teaching and learning.
