Our Lady’s School in San Diego seeks an Education Specialist to provide specialized educational support for students with learning disabilities. The role works under the principal and focuses on implementing IEPs, fostering inclusive instruction, and collaborating with teachers and families.

Qualified candidates will hold an Education Specialist Instruction Credential and a Bachelor’s Degree, with prior elementary teaching experience or work with learners with IEPs.

Qualifications

• Education Specialist Instruction Credential required.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Clear Livescan background check required.
• Experience teaching in elementary school or with students who have learning challenges and IEPs.
• Positive professional references and recommendations.

Responsabilités

• Teach TK–8th grade students with mild to moderate learning challenges.
• Assess student needs and tailor IEP-based instruction.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and administrators on instructional planning.
• Participate in IEP meetings and coordinate with school district.
• Maintain a positive classroom culture and effective classroom management.
• Support professional development and best practices in special education.
