Job summary

Osceola Regional Health Center in Sibley, IA seeks a Registered Nurse - LTC to provide direct nursing care to residents using established standards, policies, and licensure requirements. The role emphasizes assessment, care planning, and coordination with the care team.

The ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited RN program and may have at least one year of nursing or long-term care experience. CPR certification and mandated reporter training are required after hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with RN licensure.
• A minimum of one year of nursing and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately documents and actualizes the nursing process to provide resident care.
• Assists in developing the resident nursing plan of care and implements nursing strategies to achieve outcomes.
• Supervises care provided by unlicensed personnel and LPNs and coordinates services across the continuum of care.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary health care team to promote appropriate utilization of facility services.
• Acts as charge nurse/preceptor and participates in ongoing education for staff and students.
• Maintains residents’ rights and serves as a resident advocate while ensuring timely completion of tasks.
