Job summary

Community Horizons L.L.C. in Wausau, WI is seeking a compassionate in-home caregiver to assist a client with daily living activities. Responsibilities include personal hygiene, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship to help the individual remain in her home.

The ideal candidate has caregiving experience, strong communication, a valid driver's license, and is willing to train on using a Hoyer lift. Flexible part-time hours are available, with shifts in the mornings and evenings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly preferred.
• Previous caregiving experience strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills; reliable and trustworthy.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willing to be trained on using a Hoyer lift.
• Must be 18 or older due to the nature of work.

Responsibilities

• Personal hygiene assistance (bed baths, skin care, dressing).
• Incontinence care (bed pan; incontinence products).
• Light housekeeping (laundry, dusting, vacuuming, linen changes).
• Transfer the individual with a Hoyer lift.
• Cooking and preparing snacks.

Responsibilities:

• Personal hygiene (bed baths, skin care, dressing)
• Incontinence care (utilizing a bed pan & the use of incontinence products)
• Light housekeeping (laundry, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, linen changes as needed)
• Transfer individual with use of a Hoyer lift
• Cooking and preparing snacks
• Occasional errands
• Organize spaces within the home
• Build connection and companionship

Qualifications:

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly preferred
• Previous experience using a Hoyer lift (willing to train the RIGHT person)
• Strong communication skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Previous caregiving experience strongly preferred
• Must be reliable and trustworthy

Compensation:

$17.32 per hour Monday- Friday & $18.50 per hour Saturday-Sunday

Schedule:

7:00am-9:00am

5:00pm-7:00pm

11:00pm-12:00am

Schedule times have flexibility and can work with your busy life

Must be 18 due to the nature of work

Previous caregiving experience strongly preferred
