Job summary

Westminster Communities of Florida is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for our Orlando pharmacy to accurately and timely fill residents' medication orders in compliance with policy and state regulations.

The role requires night and weekend scheduling, teamwork, and attention to HIPAA, with responsibilities including inventory management, order preparation, and collaboration with physicians and facilities.

Qualifications

• Current State Pharmacy Technician license and certification.
• 1-3 years Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Medical Terminology required.
• Order Entry and insurance billing experience preferred.
• IV experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory, place orders. Check in drugs, stock shelves, remove out of date product.
• Prepares medications including emulsions, liquids, powders and ointments.
• Maintain packaging equipment for calibration.
• Timely and accurately fill resident medication orders in accordance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Properly prepare orders for final delivery.
• Complies with all HIPAA regulations.
• Interact with facilities, physicians, and other pharmacy employees at all levels; promote teamwork and professionalism.
• Prepare various reports as requested by management, customers and residents.
• Schedule may include weekend and/or nights.
