Job summary

PharMerica in Worthington, OH is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Technician for 1st shift. This non-retail, closed-door pharmacy role focuses on serving long-term care and senior living clients with accurate dispensing and high-quality care.

You will work Monday–Friday 9:00am–5:30pm with every 3rd weekend and 2 holidays per year, and you’ll receive comprehensive benefits including license fee coverage, tuition discounts, 401(k), DailyPay, and shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy Technician license as required by state.
• Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
• Ability to operate a computer and recognize medications.
• Detail oriented; goal oriented; team player; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescription items and package medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Accurately label products with cautionary and auxiliary labels.
• Prepare medications including non-sterile compounding.
• Enter patient and prescription data into computer systems for labeling.
• Participate in inventory management and stock checks.
• Handle returned medications per protocol (credit or destruction).
• Communicate professionally with internal and external customers.
• Assist with onboarding and training new staff.
• Operate in Narcotics room and with automated prepackaging machines.
• Mix IV medications and sanitize IV room/equipment.
