Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a licensed pharmacist for a 13-week contract in Bentonville, AR, with potential to convert to permanent employment based on performance.

The role focuses on long-term care pharmacy services, patient safety, and medication management, including counseling on prescriptions and OTC products, sterile compounding, and supervision of pharmacy staff. Monday–Friday daytime hours with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Current pharmacist license valid in Arkansas.
• Open to retail pharmacists willing to train for long-term care pharmacy.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy files.
• Experience with sterile compounding and pharmacy supervision is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and securely.
• Monitor patient medication usage for compliance and prevent overuse.
• Ensure medication supply management complies with legal regulations.
• Advise patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and respond to their queries.
• Provide counseling on both prescription and over-the-counter medications, including dosages, storage, and drug interactions.
• Offer additional patient services such as smoking cessation, blood pressure and cholesterol monitoring.
• Educate patients on the operation of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters.
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions following established protocols.
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and timely restocking.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify and resolve drug-related problems.
