Job summary

Apple Rehab Corporate is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide comprehensive nutritional care for residents in a long-term care facility. The role ensures compliance with Food Service regulations and offers guidance to Dietary Managers, Nursing, and Administrators as needed.

The RD will participate in weekly At Risk meetings, monitor resident weights and nutrition intake, and recommend diet adjustments and supplementary needs to support resident health.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with clinical and production experience in long term care setting.
• Certified by the State of Connecticut as a CD-N.
• Current knowledge of dietary practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines as they apply to long term care.
• Effective communication skills; oral and written.
• Self-motivated and flexible.
• Must demonstrate cooperation; team player approach.
• Must demonstrate patience, tact, enthusiasm, positive attitude.
• Valid driver's license with vehicle.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Dietitian provides comprehensive nutritional care for residents in the facility.
• Ensures compliance with Food Service regulations and standards of practice offering counsel and/or directive to Dietary Managers, Nursing, or Administrators as deemed necessary.
• Participates in weekly At Risk meetings, monitors resident weights and nutrition intake, and makes diet recommendations.
