Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• ServSafe certification preferred or will become certified after hire.
• 1 year Nursing Home, Senior Living, Hospital, or Healthcare experience required.
• Minimum one year experience in large-scale cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlines standards, ensuring correct temperature, and presenting attractive meals.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains cleanliness; stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Will manage the kitchen in the absence of the Food Service Director.
• Performs other job-related duties as they become required.
