Job summary

Saint Luke’s Health System seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to provide patient care under the direction of the RN/LPN. The CMA assists in patient care, anticipates family needs, and adapts care to individual patient requirements while collaborating with the health care team to ensure safe, quality care.

The part-time day position requires BLS, KS CNA certification, and CMA certification. Experience listed as Less than 1 year.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year applicable experience.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• KS CNA certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Medical Assistant certification required.

Job description

Job Description The CMA provides patient care under the direction and supervision of the RN LPN. The CMA assists in the patient care, anticipating patient family needs in a proactive fashion. The CMA individualizes and modifies care according to the patient needs. The CMA collaborates with other health care team members to enhance the provision of patient care. The CMA will possess and utilize effective technical skills for the provision of safe and appropriate care, including pharmacology knowledge and medication administration.

Job Requirements

• Applicable Experience: Less than 1 year
• Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Cert Nurse Assistant (KS) - Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services
• Medical Assistant (Certified) - Various
