Job summary
Vertex Long Read Sequencing Co-Op is a 6-month experiential training program for students pursuing an advanced degree in Biological Sciences or related fields. You will work on RNA sequencing applications, plasmid integration analyses, and direct RNA sequencing to support monoclonal antibody projects.
The program emphasizes mentorship, flexible options, and exposure to CGT AD workflows in a collaborative Boston environment.
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD in Systems Biology, Computational Biology, Developmental Biology, or related field.
- Experience with long-read sequencing workflows and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Python or R, and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools such as minimap2 and samtools.
Responsibilities
- Perform RNA sequencing and plasmid integration analyses to support monoclonal antibody projects.
- Prepare sequencing libraries and evaluate dataset quality and integrity.
- Analyze data with DESeq2 and GSEA to derive biological insights.
- Present results and contribute to method development and optimization.
