Job summary

Zayo Group is seeking a Long Haul Fiber Test & Acceptance Project Manager to lead and coordinate our long haul OSP deployment. You will ensure projects align with budgets, schedules, and customer expectations while interfacing with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

The role involves on-site work, travel to client sites, and weekly on-call duties to support outages and restoration efforts. Experience in telecom and OSP management is essential.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in telecommunications with outside plant, fiber optics, architectures and project management.
• Three+ years with outside plant construction and large capital projects.
• Fiber splicing/testing knowledge not required but a plus.
• Familiar with Email, MS Excel, Word, Google Earth and AutoCad.
• Able to manage multiple aggressive RFP and design/construction schedules.
• Read and understand construction and fiber splicing documents.
• Familiar with OSP management: quoting, construction, troubleshooting and delivery.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate long haul OSP deployment to meet customer expectations and standards.
• Respond to outages during weekly on-call rotation.
• Coordinate access to customer and network points for fiber splicing/testing vendors.
• Plan and implement fiber connectivity programs within budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate internal and external resources for timely project completion.
• Oversee procurement of equipment and materials for projects.
• Track project budgets and progress in Salesforce and other trackers.
• Interface with customers, subcontractors, authorities, and internal teams.
