Job summary

Leggett & Platt Flooring Products is seeking a professional driver to safely deliver finished goods to customers, maintain compliance with DOT regulations, and support efficient logistics operations.

The role requires a Class A CDL, attention to detail, and commitment to safety. You will manage load securement, paperwork, and on-time deliveries while upholding company values and customer service standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver finished goods to customers safely and on time.
• Ensure accuracy of products delivered and assist with unloading as needed.
• Maintain excellent customer service and relations with recipients.
• Handle money/C.O.D. transactions as required.
• Keep logs, maximize backhauls, and fuel at specified terminals.
• Adhere to safety, EEOC and OSHA policies and load securement.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Coordinate with Traffic Manager and Dispatchers daily.
• Prepare daily reports on incoming/outgoing materials.

There just hasn't been enough education on how quality carpetpad isthe source behind the comfort and added durability in your carpeting.

A driver is responsible for delivering finished goods to the customer in a safe and timely manner.

Primary Duties

• Upon delivery, ensure the accuracy of products delivered.
• Assist customer in theoff loadof the product.
• Maintain excellent customer service and customer relations.
• Responsible for all money/C.O.D.'s involved in business transactions, as required.
• Maintain "Logbook", maximize "backhauls", and fuel-up at specified terminals.
• Adhere to safety, EEOC and OSHA policies.
• Ensure loads are secure.
• Maintain cleanliness of tractor and trailer.
• Comply with Leggett & Platt and State and Federal DOT regulations.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Traffic Manager.
• Contacts Traffic Manager or Dispatcheron a daily basis.
• Prepares daily reports on the quality/quantity of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Adhere to the Leggett & Platt safety, environmental and conduct Policies.

Has the authority to perform the following:

• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities related toproduct,processand/or the system.
• Identify and/or record any problems relating to the product, process and the quality system:
• Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels.
• Verify the implementation of solutions.
• Control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of all tractors and trailers.
• Management may assign other duties not covered in this description. All employees are expected to carry out any reasonable assignment.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required

• Detailed oriented with the ability to make decisions.
• Must have a class A CDL.
