Job summary

Nelson-Brothers in Cordova, AL seeks a CDL Class A driver to transport product from the manufacturing plant to customer sites and back. The role requires HazMat and Tanker endorsements with at least one year of driving experience.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, fuel and maintain the vehicle, and ensure accurate daily logs and documentation. Safety and compliance are priorities in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent driving discipline and safety awareness.
• Strong understanding of DOT rules and paperwork handling.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product using motorized pumps.
• Drive tractor-trailer from plant to customer sites and return.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate daily logs.
• Fuel, service, and keep the truck clean and orderly.
• Keep accurate, current paperwork and vehicle-related permits.

Scope: Delivers product from manufacturing plant to customer sites with longer runs.Performs all duties in a safe and legal manner, being responsible for yourself and the employees around you.Loads and unloads product using motorized pumps.Drives truck from manufacturing plant to customer sites and return.Makes necessary stops to fuel and maintain truck.Performs pre-trip inspections.Keeps truck clean and orderly.Keeps accurate, current paperwork.Maintains current permits required for the truck.Maintains accurate driver’s daily logs.Makes DOT vehicle inspections for air brakes, lights, and safety equipment.Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the company.Operates following equipment:Tractor – trailerPump equipment and valves at sites and on trucksHigh School Diploma (or equivalent)CDL Class A license with HazMat and Tanker EndorsementOne year LH driving experience
