Job description

Role:

Responsible for safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to customers via tractor-trailer, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety, food safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Duties:

Load and unload products per customer specifications, complete all required paperwork, maintain proper temperatures, operate equipment safely, and build courteous customer relationships. Communicate with management about route or product issues and work flexible hours to meet customer needs.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED (or completion of tractor-trailer driving school), valid Class A CDL, and insurability. Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, safe lifting/delivery practices. Skills in long-distance driving, problem-solving, effective communication, and basic math. Ability to operate various commercial vehicles and equipment, and perform physical tasks involving lifting up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment & Skills:

Ability to work in diverse conditions, including extreme weather and confined spaces. Regularly sit, lift, and climb in/out of trucks. Maintain alertness and safety awareness while delivering in varying traffic and weather conditions. Demonstrates good judgment, organization, and adherence to safety protocols.
