Job summary

Peninsula Truck Lines, Inc. is seeking an experienced Linehaul Driver to haul freight over long distances between terminals. You will ensure safe, timely deliveries while complying with company policies and regulations.

The role emphasizes cargo securement, accurate paperwork, and proactive communication with dispatch and customers. Eligible candidates hold a Class A CDL with endorsements, have at least 2 years of verifiable driving experience, and are familiar with ELDs and DOT rules.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements (Class A, Hazmat, Tanker) required.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience with a clean record.
• Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and hours-of-service tracking.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and cargo securement practices.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to lift, bend, and sit for extended periods; flexibility for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely and legally.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Adhere to routes and schedules; adjust for weather conditions.
• Load/unload freight and secure cargo properly.
• Verify shipping documents and complete paperwork accurately.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers; provide updates.
