Pay is based on miles driven at $0.81 per mile.Overview: As a Linehaul Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight over long distances between terminals, ensuring safe and timely delivery while adhering to company policies and regulations. You will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of the supply chain by transporting goods efficiently and reliably.Responsibilities:Operate commercial vehicles, such as tractor-trailers or semi-trucks, in a safe and responsible manner, following all traffic laws, regulations, and company safety policies.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.Adhere to established routes and schedules while maintaining awareness of changing road and weather conditions.Load and unload freight onto the truck using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring that cargo is properly secured and balanced to prevent shifting during transit.Verify the accuracy of shipping documents, including bills of lading, manifests, and delivery instructions, and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and legibly.Communicate effectively with dispatchers, terminal managers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during transit.Report any accidents, incidents, or maintenance issues promptly and accurately, following company procedures and regulatory requirements.Interact professionally with customers and other individuals encountered during delivery and pickup operations, representing the company in a positive and customer-focused manner.Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and courteously.Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing commercial vehicle operation, including hours-of-service regulations, weight limits, and licensing requirements.Ensure accurate and timely completion of driver logs, trip reports, and other required documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements (e.g., Class A, Hazmat, Tanker) required.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial truck driver, with a clean driving record and demonstrated commitment to safety.Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and other technology used for tracking hours of service and recording driver activity.Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and industry best practices for cargo securement, vehicle inspection, and safe driving techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and other stakeholders.Physical stamina and ability to perform the duties of the job, including lifting, bending, and sitting for extended periods.Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed, with flexibility to accommodate changing schedules and delivery demands.
