Job summary

Roadway Moving Inc. is seeking an experienced Class B CDL driver to lead long-distance residential moves from pickup through final delivery. You will operate the truck and serve as Foreman, acting as the client’s primary contact and the crew’s leader on site.

You’ll supervise loading/unloading, wrap and secure belongings, and ensure DOT compliance. The role requires travel, strong customer-facing communication, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL in good standing.
• Minimum 21 years of age (federal requirement for interstate driving).
• Prior moving industry experience preferred.
• Current DOT medical certificate; able to pass DOT physical and testing.
• Clean motor vehicle record; FMCSA Clearinghouse compliant.
• Professional moving/lead experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel extensively, multi-day trips.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and move heavier items with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class B trucks on long-distance moves.
• Foreman and primary client contact at pickup and delivery.
• Lead crew loading, unloading, and staging household goods.
• Ensure items are wrapped, padded, packed, and secured for transit.
• Complete residential pickups and deliver to final destination.
• Direct crew and maintain on-schedule, safety standards.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain logs and DOT docs.
• Verify inventory and paperwork at both ends; communicate with customers and dispatch.
