Job summary

Venatu Recruitment Group is seeking a Generator Maintenance Engineer for a London-based role. You will service and maintain a range of generators from 10kVA to 2MVA, diagnose faults, and provide reactive support across sites within your area.

The role requires hands-on engineering capability, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to travel with a call-out rota that may extend outside normal hours. A full UK driving licence and CSCS card are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience as a generator service engineer, maintenance engineer or similar.
• Strong practical electrical engineering knowledge covering LV power generation and distribution systems.
• Practical knowledge of software-based generator control systems such as ComAp and Deep Sea Electronics (DSE).
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on generators.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
• Attend reactive breakdowns and carry out fault-finding.
• Complete remedial and corrective works.
• Travel throughout the UK, primarily within your allocated area.
