Job summary

HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES COMMISSION in San Antonio, TX seeks a Vehicle Driver II to safely operate trucks and vans, manage mailroom duties, and maintain warehouse inventory. The role includes loading/unloading cargo, routing deliveries, and supporting relocations and office moves for the regional offices.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred experience in shipping, receiving, and operating warehouse equipment.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Preferred experience in shipping, receiving, sorting, and distributing furniture, supplies, or equipment.
Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklift, pallet jack, dolly is preferred.
Ability to travel locally and across the state.

Responsibilities

Drive state agency trucks and cargo vans to deliver and pickup large items including furniture, IT equipment, and supplies.
Perform shipping, receiving, and mailroom duties; document receipt and distribute packages to HHS locations.
Maintain inventory, stock levels, and warehouse records; prepare monthly vehicle and inventory reports.
Assemble, install, and move furniture and equipment; supervise contractor activities for moves and modular installations.
Support disaster deployment by delivering and setting up emergency equipment.
