Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services in El Paso, TX, seeks a Vehicle Driver II to support regional operations by delivering and picking up equipment, furniture and supplies, while maintaining vehicle records and safety standards.

Responsibilities include freight handling, mail and package distribution, warehouse duties, and assisting with office moves. A valid Class C Texas driver's license is required; telework is not offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred experience in shipping, receiving, sorting, and distributing furniture, supplies, or equipment.
• Experience driving panel trucks or cargo vans is desirable.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drive state agency trucks and cargo vans to deliver and pickup large items.
• Provide mail pickup and small package delivery on routine routes.
• Perform warehouse duties including inventory tracking and surplus property.
• Assist with office moves and modular furniture installation.
• Deliver, assemble, and monitor emergency equipment as part of disaster deployment.
