Job summary

Distributor Wire & Cable is seeking a Warehouse Shipping Specialist in Canal Winchester, Ohio to monitor shipments, respond to emails, and coordinate freight. The role emphasizes urgency, accuracy, safety, and teamwork, with a $24/hour pay and eligible for bonus; requires 2-3 years of shipping experience and ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

You’ll work with various teams, maintain paperwork, and ensure brand standards and Zero Harm culture.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years shipping/coordinating experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills in a fast paced environment.

• Ability to lift, carry, pull and maneuver heavy material or equipment up to 100 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work in a position that requires prolonged standing and frequent bending, squatting, twisting and reaching.
• Ability to perform repetitive step up and down throughout shift from MHE (material handling equipment).
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Monitor incoming shipments and adjustments.
• Allocate material for each shipment.
• Schedule all freight for outgoing shipments.
• Point of contact for freight needs and vendor pickups.
• Complete final check and paperwork for shipments.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Operate warehouse machinery and tools as needed.
