Job summary

The DLA is seeking a motivated materials handler to support the Susquehanna distribution site. The role covers a broad set of warehouse tasks, including receiving, storing, and preparing items for issue and shipment.

You will load and secure shipments, inspect containers, and ensure proper documentation. Operation of forklifts and related equipment is required, with safety and efficiency emphasized on every shift.

Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse operations and standard packing techniques.
• Ability to follow procedures for reporting over, short, or damaged items.

Responsibilities

• Performs a full range of warehouse functions in a large or small facility.
• Receives, stores, and assembles items for issue and shipment.
• Unloads shipments, verifies documents, and reports discrepancies.
• Assembles items for shipment and checks container condition.
• Determines loading sequences and optimizes storage space and safety.
• Operates material handling equipment (forklift up to 15,000 lbs).
• Packs or repacks items using standard packing materials.
