Job description

Chuck Latham Associates has been launching, growing, and selling the world’s most successful pet brands since 1984. CLA is a leader within the pet industry supporting brands through sales and marketing services, ecommerce solutions, data and analytics support, merchandising and in-store services, and more.

CLA is seeking a part time logistics warehouse coordinator to oversee the receipt, storage, and shipment of materials on behalf of our vendors and fulfill the daily requests from our District Managers to support our retail field team representatives. This role communicates with vendors and internal teams to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments to the field team including coordination of monthly material shipments, counting out project materials like IRCs or flyers, preparing demo kits, and maintaining inventory counts for all vendor materials. This position is an in-office role in our Parker, CO Home Office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide customer service to District Managers and vendors to ensure smooth execution of projects and monthly store objectives, to include the processing and shipping of vendor required materials
  • Fulfill daily shipping requests and warehouse duties between 11am – 2pm MST.
  • Collate and prepare retail field representatives monthly materials packets the third week of every month over a two to three day timeframe – anticipate 8 hour workdays during this timeframe.
  • Prepare for monthly mailings packets for retail field associates by making copies, counting out supplies and promotional materials, counting out coupons/IRC sheets, and packing customized shipments for each field team representative
  • Ensures proper handling, packaging, and labeling of materials to prevent damage and ensure timely delivery to the retail field representative
  • Determine warehouse supplies needed to prepare and ship monthly packets
  • Identify efficiencies in processes to reduce expenses and increase fill rates
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Ensure utilization of warehouse space is efficient, clean and safety standards are upheld to support efficient monthly mailing process
  • Assist with warehouse deliveries and schedule pick-ups
  • Lead and/or participate on various projects as they arise
  • Must have ability to work a flexible schedule based on needs of the business.
Qualifications Required
  • Experience in MS Office Suite required with an emphasis in Excel
  • Strong computer skills. Ability to prepare well written communications, develop spreadsheets as management and analysis tools, and create SOPs
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., on occasion
  • Ability to stand for a minimum of four daily and up to eight hours to pack envelopes and boxes during the mailing packet timeframe
  • Operates forklift or pallet jack, or other equipment to move materials within the warehouse
  • Experience with UPS, USPS shipping systems a plus

  • Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Dependability—the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
