Job summary

Riviana Foods Inc. is a leading rice processor and distributor, seeking a Warehouse Specialist to support finished product shipments and raw material receipt. You will work with the Distribution Manager and Warehouse Coordinator, perform trailer inspections, verify shipments, and operate a forklift to stage loads and load trailers.

The role requires at least one year in a warehouse setting and familiarity with shipping procedures. Working weekends/overtime may be necessary to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a warehouse environment and knowledge of shipping procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Warehouse Personnel and Distribution Manager for timely loading/unloading of shipments.
• Perform inspections on trailer conditions and accept/reject trailer for loading.
• Verify product, load count and batch codes on shipments.
• Use FIFO method when pulling product for shipments.
• Stage loads for shipment and ensure proper pallet quality for shipping.
• Process shipments in SAP and enter shipping data.
• Check out and operate forklift in warehouse to stack/store product and load trailers.
• Assist in inventory counts and annual inventory as needed.
• Support HACCP and Sanitation programs as required.
