Job summary

Jobtailor in Seattle is seeking an experienced logistics professional to support 24x7 operations and Enterprise Transportation across all business units. You will enable production and drive optimal solutions with contracted carriers while balancing schedule, cost, and growth initiatives.

The role requires 3+ years in logistics, strong leadership, and the ability to manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working in logistics or transportation.
• 3+ years of experience communicating with senior managers and executives, customers (internal and external), business partners / suppliers / subcontractors, and government representatives.
• 3+ years of experience leading teams and supporting cross functional organizations.
• 3+ years of experience managing ambiguity and changing priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
• At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR completion of the Boeing internal course 'Exploring Leadership'.
• Bachelor's degree (preferred)
• 3+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience working with freight forwarders, specialty/charter carriers, and/or transportation service providers across multiple modes: FTL, LTL, International and Domestic Air Freight, Ocean, Small Parcel (preferred).
• 1+ years of experience with import/export compliance and regulatory agencies (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support 24x7 Logistics team in Seattle, WA
• Support Enterprise Transportation and Logistics across all business units critical to the supply chain health
• Enable production, and meet various program needs
• Provide support to their team in driving optimal solutions utilizing contracted carriers for all modes of transportation while balancing schedule, cost, and strategic growth initiatives
• Be able & willing to work various shifts and/or an alternate baseline schedule that may frequently change to support mission requirements, including weekends and holidays
