Job summary

Dessert Holdings in Humble, TX seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, production support, and outbound shipping. Qualifications

  • 35+ years warehouse experience in food manufacturing or distribution.
  • 2+ years supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience using inventory management systems (D365 preferred).
  • Strong understanding of SQF, HACCP, GMP, FDA requirements.
  • Knowledge of allergens, temperature-controlled storage, and FIFO practices.
  • Forklift certified (PIT trainer certification preferred).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Flexible schedule as business needs require.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and provide direction to warehouse associates, managing attendance, performance, overtime control while supporting hiring and onboarding.
  • Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory, picking, staging, and material movement.
  • Lead and develop warehouse employees across multiple shifts while ensuring productivity, safety, and attendance expectations are met.
  • Coordinate the timely delivery of raw materials and packaging, to production lines to prevent downtime.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory levels and work closely with Production, Purchasing, resolve shortages and material issues.
  • Ensure all incoming materials are properly inspected, documented, labeled, and stored according to company and quality requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with GMP, BRC, HACCP, food safety, and company warehouse procedures.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, shortages, and receiving issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee forklift and material-handling equipment operations, including safe operating practices, inspections, and operator compliance.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Warehouse Supervisor

We are looking for aWarehouse Supervisorto join our leadership team at our facility in Humble, TX.The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, production support, and outbound shipping. This role ensures materials and finished goods move safely, efficiently, and accurately throughout the facility while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards. This position is accountable for operational execution, team leadership, inventory accuracy, compliance with SQF, HACCP, GMP, FDA and OSHA requirements, and maintaining a safe, organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and provide direction to warehouse associates,managingattendance, performance, overtime control whilesupporting hiring and onboarding.
  • Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, inventory, picking, staging, and material movement.
  • Lead and develop warehouse employees across multiple shifts while ensuring productivity, safety, and attendance expectations are met.
  • Coordinate the timely delivery of raw materials and packaging, to production lines to prevent downtime.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, FIFO, lot and batch tracking, and system transactions.
  • Monitor warehouse inventory levels and work closely with Production, Purchasing, resolve shortages and material issues.
  • Ensure all incoming materials are properly inspected, documented, labeled, and stored according to company and quality requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with GMP, BRC, HACCP, food safety, and company warehouse procedures.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, shortages, and receiving issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure expired, damaged, or non-conforming materials are properly identified, segregated, and handled according to QA procedures.
  • Oversee forklift and material-handling equipment operations, including safe operating practices, inspections, and operator compliance.
  • Monitor warehouse organization, housekeeping, sanitation, and 5S standards to maintain a safe and audit-ready facility.
  • Review and approve warehouse paperwork, including bills of lading, receiving documents, transfer documentation, pick sheets, and inventory records.
  • Use WMS/ERP systems such as D365 to manage inventory transactions, warehouse movements, and production material requirements.
  • Analyze operational metrics such as inventory accuracy, productivity, order fulfillment, labor hours, overtime, and material shortages.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, control labor costs, and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct employee training, coaching, performance evaluations, corrective counseling, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Partner with maintenance and vendors to address warehouse equipment, dock, pallet, forklift, and facility issues.
  • Prepare the warehouse for internal and external audits, ensuring documentation, inventory, labeling, and processes meet company standards.
  • Communicate daily operational priorities, staffing requirements, production needs, and potential supply issues to management and cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure warehouse procedures are consistently followed across all shifts.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
