Job summary

Dow Chemical in Deer Park, TX is seeking a Logistics Technician for the Lone Star Operations. The role involves loading/unloading products, coordinating shipments in SAP, and maintaining safety and environmental standards.

You will work with engineers, operators and lab staff to ensure timely product moves and quality control, with training opportunities in plant laboratory tasks and site maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current, valid US driver’s license.
• A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Product loading of railcars, tank trucks, isotainers, and flexitanks (bladder tanks).
• Product unloading hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Product storage operations; hose switching station operations; scale house operations; railcar cleaning.
• Enters Load In, Load Complete, and Shipment Complete in SAP for all shipments.
• Completes Tank transfers, switching and monitoring.
• Performs Operator maintenance duties including instrument lead clearing, small gasket change outs and line unplugging.
• Performing routine operation of basic control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures and flow rates and transfer of products.
• Use electronic tools such as LIMS, CDS, SAP, Electronic Logbook, and MTL, as required.
