Job summary

Cold Steppe Inc. in Stuttgart, Arkansas is hiring a Logistics Technician to keep biomass feedstock moving, inspect incoming shipments, manage inventory, and stage finished biochar for shipment. No prior experience required; training on our systems and equipment is provided.

You’ll work Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm, with OT eligible, and earn $40k–$50k per year plus benefits. Forklift certification is preferred and training is provided if needed.

Schedule

Monday to Friday (8am – 6pm), 8 – 10 hours per day, OT eligible, opportunities for weekends and overnight shifts as production ramps.

Compensation

$40,000–$50,000/year (approx. $19–$24/hr), based on experience and certifications, plus benefits,consistent with our commitment to pay above local prevailing wage

THE ROLE

The Logistics Technician keeps material moving in and out of AR-1, receiving incoming biomass feedstock (rice hulls, sawdust, and other agricultural byproducts), managing inventory, and getting finished biochar staged and shipped out. No prior experience is required; we'll train you on our systems and equipment. This is one of our first frontline hires at AR-1—you'll help build the habits this facility runs on.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Receive and inspect incoming feedstock and outbound shipments, checking against orders and flagging any damage or discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate inventory of feedstock and finished product through regular counts and reconciliation.
• Stage, pack, and load outbound shipments accurately and on schedule, coordinating with carriers as needed.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely (forklift certification training provided).
• Keep the warehouse and yard organized, clearly labeled, and laid out for efficient flow.
• Run basic quality checks on incoming and outgoing material and report issues through established procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of inventory movements and shipments.
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements, and speak up when something looks unsafe.
• Work closely with the Floor Technician team to keep feedstock flowing to the floor without interruption.

WHAT YOU BRING

• No prior experience required—we'll train you. Prior warehouse, logistics, or material-handling experience is a plus, not a requirement.
• Forklift certification preferred; if you don't have one, we'll get you certified.
• Strong attention to detail—inventory accuracy matters.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand and move for extended periods.
• Comfort working around industrial equipment and outdoor/semi-outdoor conditions.
• A team-first attitude, AR-1's first crew sets the tone for every site that follows.
