Job summary

Cold Steppe Inc. in Stuttgart, Arkansas, United States, is hiring a Floor Technician to keep AR-1's processing equipment running safely and efficiently. You’ll monitor real-time performance, adjust the kiln and related systems, and help set operating habits for a frontline team.

This is a hands-on role with input into how the floor evolves. Mon-Fri, 8am–6pm, 8–10 hours daily; OT possible as production ramps.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with industrial or mechanical equipment or a trade certification.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Safety-first mindset and willingness to follow SOPs.
• Willingness to learn how the kiln and process systems work.

Responsibilities

• Start up, operate, and shut down processing equipment (rotary kiln and related systems).
• Adjust feed rate, temperature, and airflow to keep production on spec.
• Monitor temperature, pressure and other readings; catch abnormalities early.
• Perform routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, and cleaning.
• Troubleshoot process issues in real time and know when to escalate.
• Pull samples and run basic quality checks for biochar output.
• Keep shift logs and production records; follow safety protocols.
