Job summary

Valero Energy is seeking a Logistics Systems Optimization Functional Specialist to serve as the primary business-facing resource for logistics systems. You will partner with stakeholders to support system utilization, analyze processes, coordinate change management, and improve user adoption.

This salaried exempt role emphasizes independent judgment in evaluating needs and delivering solutions. The role requires on-site work in San Antonio, TX, with responsibilities including requirements

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work on-site and in-person required.
• Bachelor’s or higher level degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Business Management, Engineering, or related field required.
• 2+ years of experience in Logistics industry or related project management knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between business users, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders regarding system functionality and user support needs.
• Provide advanced functional support for Logistics Systems Optimization applications, including issue analysis, resolution, and escalation coordination.
• Lead requirements gathering efforts and document business, functional, and operational requirements for system enhancements and projects.
• Evaluate business processes and recommend solutions that improve operational effectiveness, user experience, and system utilization.
• Design, coordinate, and deliver training programs to support user proficiency, adoption, and ongoing system effectiveness.
• Lead user acceptance testing activities and validate system functionality against business requirements and expected outcomes.
• Coordinate change management and organizational readiness activities associated with new system implementations and enhancements.
