Responsibilities

• Supervise night-shift logistics personnel and material-handling operations.
• Ensure timely delivery of components to automotive exterior assembly lines.
• Coordinate JIT/JIS material flow to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
• Monitor inventory, stock accuracy, material availability, and shipping activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams to resolve shortages and prevent downtime.
• Track logistics KPIs, delivery performance, safety metrics, and operational efficiency.
• Use SAP, MRP, or warehouse management systems to track materials and inventory.
• Lead shift meetings, assign personnel, provide training, and communicate priorities.
• Enforce safety policies, 5S standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify and resolve logistics bottlenecks affecting assembly operations.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and high-performance team environment.

Position Description

Seneca Resources is seeking an experienced Night Shift Logistics Supervisor to lead material flow, inventory coordination, and logistics operations supporting automotive exterior assembly production. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader with experience in automotive assembly, just-in-time material delivery, and high-volume production environments.

The successful candidate will supervise logistics personnel, ensure uninterrupted material flow to production lines, and partner with Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams to maintain safety, productivity, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate night-shift logistics personnel and material-handling operations.
• Ensure the timely delivery of components and materials to automotive exterior assembly lines.
• Coordinate JIT/JIS material flow to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
• Monitor warehouse inventory, stock accuracy, material availability, and shipping activities.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Warehouse teams to resolve material shortages and prevent production downtime.
• Track logistics KPIs, delivery performance, safety metrics, and operational efficiency.
• Use SAP, MRP, or warehouse management systems to track materials and inventory.
• Lead shift meetings, assign personnel, provide training, and communicate operational priorities.

Top Requirements

• Hands-on experience supporting automotive assembly operations, preferably with an automotive Tier 1 supplier or high-volume manufacturing organization.
• Previous supervisory experience in logistics, material handling, warehouse operations, or production support.
• Strong knowledge of production-line material flow, automotive assembly processes, and material availability requirements.
• Experience with Just-in-Time (JIT) and Just-in-Sequence (JIS) delivery, inventory control, sequencing, and production logistics.
• Experience supervising night-shift teams and coordinating personnel in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with SAP, MRP, ERP, or warehouse management systems.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, safety practices, and continuous improvement principles.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to resolve material shortages, logistics bottlenecks, and issues affecting production continuity.
• Ability to work onsite during the night shift in Cottondale, Alabama.
• Automotive manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, warehouse management, or material flow experience is strongly preferred.
