Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise Operators, Logistics Leads, Group Leads, and Cycle Counters.
• Directly supervise and assign work to material handling staff on the floor.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound material movement for smooth flow.
• Administer company policies and procedures.
• Train staff for Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV) operations.
• Ensure licenses for PIV operators are current and correct.
• Count parts, analyze counts, and provide corrective actions.
• Adjust inventory and provide reports to management.
• Audit bills of material and coordinate with scheduling/engineering to fix errors.
• Assist with excess/obsolete material analysis and procurement/shipping backup.
• Interact with other Supply Chain teams, Operations, Engineering, and Quality.

The Logistics Supervisor supervises, directs and coordinates all material handling functions for the Hattiesburg Home Energy operations. Responsible for the coordination of the Generator cycle count program and provides in-depth analysis and corrective action for all issues affecting inventory accuracy. This position will require onsite work at our Hattiesburg, Mississippi location.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Supervisor responsibility for Operators, Logistics Leads, Group Leads, and/or Cycle Counters in respective Supply Chain area
• Directly supervises and assigns work to material handling employees on the production floor
• Coordinates movement of inbound and outbound material to ensure a smooth flow of material
• Administers all company policies and procedures
• Trainer at Hattiesburg for all individuals required to operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV)
• Ensure that all employees operating PIVs possess current and correct licenses
• Assigning the physical counting of parts and providing analysis and corrective action for errors as required
• Adjust inventory and provide reports to management
• Audit bills of material and work with scheduling/engineering to correct errors
• Assist with identifying and providing analysis of excess and obsolete material
• Provide backup support to purchasing, scheduling and shipping
• Frequent contact with other areas of Supply Chain team
• Frequent contact with Operations, Engineering, and Quality

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Associates degree in related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a people leadership role
• Minimum of 3 years in Supply Chain
• Must be able to make sound decisions, be a self-starter and able to lead a team in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
• Proficiency required in all MS Office products

Salary

The Salary range for this position is $69,800.00-$87,950.00. The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
