Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day transportation and logistics operations to ensure service reliability and supply continuity.

  • Manage transportation resources and tracking systems to improve visibility, traceability, and operational control.
  • Monitor transportation performance, asset utilization, and shipment tracking data.
  • Resolve routine operational issues and support daily logistics decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, quality, safety, and handling requirements.
  • Maintain product integrity and chain-of-custody standards throughout transportation activities.
  • Identify and recommend process, system, and vendor improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and cost effectiveness.

Location: Indianapolis, IN 46239 (ONSITE)

Pay Range: $32 – 33/Hr. On W2 (Depending on Experience/Interview)

Duration: Contract Role (Possible Extension or Temp to Hire for Right Candidate)

Available Schedule: Monday- Friday 6:00am until work complete with Mandatory OT required

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a Transportation & Logistics Supervisor to oversee the timely, compliant, and secure movement of materials, products, and medical samples throughout the supply chain.
  • This role is responsible for leading daily transportation operations, ensuring product integrity, maintaining supply continuity, and supporting operational excellence across suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses, clinical sites, customers, and patients.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations, along with strong leadership skills and a commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise the movement of materials, products, and medical samples across the supply chain network.
  • Import & Export Experience
  • Preparing Master Air Way Bill for shipment.
  • Bookings for shipments that required this prior to export.
  • Filing SED for required shipments.
  • Air Import/Export experience preferred airways bills
  • Full understanding of the importance of Cold Chain Management
  • Prepare Bill of Lading (Domestic and International shipments by Air and Truck)
  • Secure cargo space by booking via Telecomm, web, e-mail, etc.)
  • File Shipper’s Export Declarations for high valued shipments
  • Pre-screen cargo for export where applicable
  • Monitor, respond to and action follow up notes in a timely manner
  • Monitor, respond to and action personal and group email accounts in a timely manner
  • Monitor all “On-Hold” shipments for export and/or delivery approval
  • Monitor and update the Outbound Flight Monitor
  • Proficiency in Cold Chain Management which will include but not limited to
  • Gel Pack/Packaging preparation
  • Gel Pack/Packaging configuration
  • Ability to lift between 25–70 lbs
